This was another one of those uninspired Grade 10 assignments. We were told to recreate the artistic style of one of the Group of Seven, an important part of Canadian art history, yes, but at fifteen I simply could not be bothered. It wasn’t rebellion so much as creative self-preservation, wrapped in a landscape.
